Kaiser Insurance Legacy
Kaiser Insurance began nearly a century ago with a simple promise: take care of your neighbors. Four generations later, that promise still guides everything we do.

Our Story
Kaiser Insurance has been part of central Wisconsin life for nearly a century.
It all began in the late 1920s, when Alphonse “Ollie” Kaiser of Stratford, Wisconsin a hardworking cattle dealer who traveled from farm to farm realized that the people he met every day also needed protection for their homes, barns, and families. Using his natural gift for connecting with others, he began selling insurance. At first, Alphonse worked under his brother, but soon he struck out on his own, earning a reputation for honesty, fairness, and genuine care for his neighbors. His home became a gathering place for community leaders, including executives from early Wisconsin mutual insurance companies.
In the 1950s and 1960, Alphonse’s son, Melvin Kaiser, continued the family legacy. During the Great Depression, he built a small but trusted practice, keeping his early records in a shoebox and visiting clients in their homes. Every renewal was done face-to-face, and every customer was treated like family. Melvin and his wife raised their children west of Stratford before settling in Edgar, Wisconsin, where the agency became a local fixture.
In 1975, Melvin’s son, Gregory “Greg” Kaiser, joined the business. Greg and his wife worked tirelessly to modernize and grow the agency. In the late 1970s, they purchased the Edgar office building, which remains the heart of Kaiser Insurance today. Through decades of change, they stayed true to the same principle that guided Alphonse: protect the people who trust you and always stand by your word. From 1985 through 2020, Gregory managed the day-to-day operations, helping generations of local families secure their homes, farms, and businesses.
Today, the tradition continues with Aaron Kaiser, Greg’s son, who now leads the agency alongside his wife, Christel Kaiser. Together, they bring fresh energy, technology, and modern solutions while preserving the small-town values that have defined Kaiser Insurance since 1926.
